Mimeogrāph (grch.), von Edison erfundener Vervielfältigungsapparat. Auf eine feingekörnte Stahlplatte wird ein Stück feines, auf einer Seite mit Wachs überzogenes Papier gelegt. Indem man mit einem Metallgriffel auf die Wachsschicht schreibt, wird diese punktweise entfernt und man erhält eine Art Schablone, durch welche man Farbe mittels einer Farbwalze hindurchtreibt, so daß auf einem untergelegten Papierblatt der Abzug erscheint.
